How to Grow Your YouTube Channel (Simple Tips)

here I am, sharing how you can grow yours channel.

In this post, I’ll share simple tips that can help you get more views and subscribers. But first, let’s talk about something crucial. These tips are based on common sense. Seriously, almost anyone can do them!

The secret to success is doing it regularly! If you follow these easy tips after reading them, you’ll surely see some growth. Sounds fair? Cool! Let’s dive into some solid techniques for YouTube growth

Spread the Word About Your Videos

So what does it mean to spread your content around? Neil Patel calls it content syndication. I think of it like cross-pollination—like how flowers help each other grow. You make a video and then tell everyone about it!

When I say everywhere, I mean everywhere! I love using Content Studio because it’s a handy tool for social media posting & planning. I share my video links all over different platforms.

Just remember: you need to tweak your content for each place. For instance, I create Pins for Pinterest and share links on Instagram stories and Telegram. These sites have tons of followers!

So here’s what to do:

Share that YouTube video on Instagram, Pinterest & wherever else possible.

Keep doing it! If one platform works better than others, focus there. Telegram, Pinterest, IG & Quora are super helpful.

Listen & Do More of What Works

Listening is kind of tricky but important. It’s not just about hearing; it’s about noticing too. Pay attention to your viewers on YouTube! When you create something they love, keep making more like that.

Makes sense, right? Focus on what works well for you!

Email Your Videos to Your Subscribers

Sending your videos to your email list is a great way to boost views. The algorithm loves when videos perform well right after they’re uploaded. No email list? Start building one! It’s like treasure!

You might ask: “How can I build an email list just with my YouTube channel?” Simple! Make a website with a lead magnet to collect emails from your viewers. Then put that link in your video descriptions.

Email marketing has amazing returns too—so pay attention!

What you need to do:

  1. Create a landing page for collecting email addresses.
  2. Use Convertkit to send out emails.
  3. Share your videos with those subscribers.

If you get this right, those folks already like you—they’ll watch your videos!

Why Convertkit? It’s super user-friendly! Even if you’re a beginner, it’s easy to use. Plus, it helps with everything from email marketing to making landing pages and automating tasks.

Make Push Notifications

Push notifications are as powerful as emails! They won’t end up in spam or be forgotten in inboxes—how cool is that? If you’ve created that website or landing page already (which I told you earlier), now set up push notifications using OneSignal.

Visitors will see these pop-ups when they come by. They can subscribe if they want—and then you’ll have another way to tell them about new videos!

Here’s how:

  • Go to OneSignal
  • Click ‘Get Started’ for free
  • Do the ‘Site Setup’
  • Add the prompt
  • Set up the ‘welcome notification’
  • Upload OneSignal SDK to your site

And just like that! Now every time you post a new video on YouTube, let those push notification subscribers know!

This strategy helps grow your channel fast while also directing traffic to your blog.

Craft Eye-Catching Thumbnails & Titles

Even if you’ve made an amazing video, if no one clicks on it—you’re out of luck! That means you have two big things to focus on: thumbnails & titles.

Why bother with ‘click-worthy’ instead of ‘click-bait?’ Because we don’t want to mislead anyone!

Here’s how to make thumbnails pop:

  1. Look at thumbnails from popular videos in your niche

  2. Think about something unique

  3. Never use default YouTube thumbnails

  4. Add exciting texts or numbers

  5. Size them correctly

Wanna create thumbnails using Canva?

  • Go to Canva
  • Create a free account
  • Search for ‘YouTube thumbnails’ for templates
  • Change things up based on your style

Canva is great for anyone who’s not a design expert—give it a shot!

Now let’s talk titles:

  • Understand what you’re writing!
  • Find good keywords and use them naturally in titles
  • Use power words (look them up)
  • Share an interesting fact or number
  • Try out CoSchedule’s Headline Studio
  • That’ll help score better titles too!

Improve Video Production Quality

You don’t need fancy tools for YouTube videos—that’s true! But quality does matter because people want good stuff these days.

So improve production quality without stressing yourself too much—it’ll attract more viewers in the long run! Just start small—work on camera setup and studio overall.

And remember: always aim higher when creating videos—it pays off eventually!

Revamp Your Old Videos

Here’s an easy tip: improve older videos using what you’ve learned so far! With every new video comes new skills—so don’t forget those past ones.

Do this:

  • Go to your YouTube channel.
  • Filter out videos with low views (like under 5000).
  • Change their thumbnails, titles & descriptions.

I do this often—plenty of my past videos could really use some sprucing up!

Or consider setting old videos as ‘private’ and remake them fresh again if needed!

Keep promoting old stuff alongside new ones too!

Engagement is Key!

YouTube’s algorithm helps show your videos more when viewers engage with them—so make sure they stick around long enough to watch! Encourage likes & shares; ask viewers kindly in the video or description.

The more engagement—the better! Do what it takes positively to hold onto their attention.

Growing a YouTube channel involves building an audience & increasing brand awareness while monetizing efforts along the way

I’m excited to share these Simple tips:

  • Spread content via ContentStudio.
  • Focus on successful video topics.
  • Email subscribers via Convertkit.
  • Use OneSignal push notifications.
  • Create enticing titles (CoSchedule) & cool thumbnails (Canva).
  • Boost production quality.
  • Revamp old footage.
  • Encourage viewer engagement by asking nicely!

Feel confident when using these tips—they really work for gaining subscribers and views on YouTube! Which tip resonates most with you?
